About Us
Welcome to the Florence County Education Association - Retired, where we are dedicated to supporting and enriching the lives of retired educators in Florence County. Our organization offers a wide range of services and events to ensure that our retired educators have the resources and support they need to thrive in their retirement. The Florence County Education Association-Retired (FCEA-R), in cooperation with The South Carolina Education Association-Retired (The SCEA-R), and the National Education Association-Retired (NEA-R) has as its purposes:
- To maintain and improve the social, recreational, and economic welfare of retired educators* in the local community, state, and nation. (* educators = administrators, teachers, and education support personnel)
- To help retired educators maintain identity with the teaching profession and further the cause of education.
- To serve as a resource for active educators preparing to retire.
- To gather and disseminate to members information of benefit to them.
- To actively respond to community needs.
- To provide scholarships to enhance the quality and supply of future educators.
